BerryVine Survey™
BerryVine Survey is an amazing product, that turns any BlackBerry into an efficient data collection device.

BerryVine Survey is intended for designing and using templates for the following purposes:

Taking surveys
Survey templates created with BerryVine Survey can be used for generic numbered question based data gathering and can be used, among others, to replace all sorts of paper based surveys.
Generic data collection using forms
Form templates created with BerryVine Survey can be used to collect information that does not require any numbering and can be used, among others, to replace all sorts of paper based forms.
Performing systematic counts
Counting templates created with BerryVine Survey can be used for performing extensive systematic counts of multiple categories of items. BerryVine Survey turns your BlackBerry in a powerful counting device allowing you to optionally define and use different counting hotkeys on the BlackBerry keyboard for fast incrementation or decrementation of the counters, making it possible to perform on-the-fly counts of multiple categories of items.

Template design can be done straight from the BlackBerry, allowing users to transform their ideas and needs to templates straight away. Additionally, design can also be done using the free web-application that is available for all licensed BerryVine Survey users. This application allow users to build templates from the comfort of a desktop computer, using a modern Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. Easy Distribution of Templates
Once templates have been designed using either the template designer on the BlackBerry or the online template designer, they can then be easily distributed to multiple recipients, using the standard E-mail functionality of the BlackBerry or the template distribution function of the website. All users of BerryVine Survey can receive these templates in their inbox on their device, import them into the application and start using them straight away. BlackBerry users require no MDS or BES specific functionality to receive and start using templates!

GPS Support
BerryVine Survey offers full GPS integration and allows users to capture GPS coordinates and include them in their survey, form or counting results. This function is ideal to relate collected data to a geographical position and use this information for further processing or representation of the collected data. The GPS coordinates are captured in a format that allows them to be used with tools such as Google Maps or Microsoft MapPoint to display the coordinates on maps for graphical representation purposes.

Data Exports
Once data is collected using BerryVine Survey, it can be exported/distributed straight from the device. The generic version of the application supports three standard data export formats: CSV files (semicolon delimited .csv), XML and MS Excel (.xls). Please note that MS Excel format is only available for BES BlackBerry devices. Data exports are done using the standard E-mail functionality of the BlackBerry and can be sent to one or multiple recipients simultaneously.

BerryVine.com also offers custom secure data exporting services, including HTTPS posting of data, allowing users to post collected data to websites or databases, making any data available immediately for further processing.

Advanced generic data exporting functionality will be made available soon for users of the http://survey.berryvine.com web application, allowing them to securily post all collected data to the web application. This will make sure that all data coming from different users, using the same template, is immediately aggregated and can be exported in a singular MS Excel, XML or CSV file.

Requirements
To use BerryVine Survey™ please check that you have the following:

One of the above mentioned BlackBerry models
BlackBerry OS 4.0 or higher (lower versions might work, but are not supported)
BlackBerry Desktop software, when you are not performing an over the air (OTA) installation
For GPS functionality a NMEA compatible Bluetooth® GPS antenna is required together with a Bluetooth enabled BlackBerry (i.e. 7100, 7290, 8700, etc)
