BerryVine Messenger™
BerryVine Messenger™ (BVM) is a full-fledged IM client that currently supports the MSN platform. BVM offers you all the joy of MSN in the palm of your hand, using just your BlackBerry!

   

Currently BVM has the following features:

  • A direct connection between the BlackBerry and the IM service, which means:
    • Only pay a onetime license fee, then use the application for as long as you like, without any additional application related periodical or hidden costs
    • No third party involvement whatsoever, its just you and the IM service
    • No need to register or create a user account with any third party servers or services
  • Run the application minimized in the background while doing other things
  • Hot keys for switching chat sessions, minimizing the application and chatting
  • Select notification method when someone send you a message (pop-up, sound, vibration)
  • Single person chat
  • Group chat
  • Basic 'smiley' support
  • Support for general status changes (online, offline, busy, away, etc)
  • A diagnostic option for trouble-shooting
  • Support for nickname setting and changing
  • Block/unblock contacts
  • Add/remove contacts
  • Order contacts in groups
  • Add/remove groups

Supported devices
Currently BerryVine Messenger™ supports the following BlackBerry models:

  • BlackBerry 8xxx series
  • BlackBerry 7xxx series

If you have one of these devices, you will most likely be able to use BerryVine Messenger™. Be sure to download the 7 day trial version before you purchase.

Requirements
To use BerryVine Messenger™ please check that you have the following:

  • BlackBerry OS 4.0 or higher
  • BlackBerry Desktop software, when you are not performing an over the air (OTA) installation
  • One of the above mentioned BlackBerry models
  • Full MDS connectivity or direct TCP connectivity
  • If you have a BES behind a firewall, be sure that connections to all servers in the passport.com and hotmail.com domains are permitted and ports 80, 443 and 1863 are opened
  • Be sure you have the 'Desktop [IPPP]' service book installed
  • If applicable: make sure to have 'allow HTTPS connections to untrusted servers' enabled in the MDS configuration settings on the BES

Before purchasing BerryVine Messenger™, be sure to test the free 7 day trial version! You can download the trial version or purchase a user license from the download section.
